Installed, configured and maintained Veritas Netbackup 3.4.1 & 4.5 for the datacenter with StorageTek and Quantum/ATL tape libraries. Developed automated backup status reporting scripts in Perl. Researched, proposed, developed, and tested procedure to backup Oracle databases using the Oracle RMAN facilities with Netbackup. Managed much of the overall day-to-day operations of the 250+ server development datacenter. Included in the on-call rotation for the production datacenter. Administered the K570 for 300+ users running 12GB Progress v7.3e databases and QAD MFG/PRO ERP software. Progress DBA for corporation. Proactively monitored system performance and recommended solutions. Researched, proposed, planned, and implemented company-wide central tape backup system for HP-UX, AIX, NT, and Netware servers with HP OmniBack II v2.55 and a Quantum/ATL tape library.
